YOHJI YAMAMOTO
Made in Japan – Archive Piece
This rare two-piece ensemble from Yohji Yamamoto’s Autumn/Winter 2003–04 collection, crafted in Japan from deep navy wool, exemplifies the designer’s architectural approach to tailoring and proportion.
Made of pure wool in a deep navy shade, it reflects his fascination with elongated silhouettes and subtle asymmetry.
The jacket features a tailored, structured cut with a refined collar, button closure, and asymmetric hemline—hallmarks of Yohji’s exploration of balance and deconstruction.
The matching skirt, cut high at the waist and crafted in the same wool, falls into a long, straight silhouette, creating a harmonious dialogue with the elongated jacket.
